Michael Kunze is a lyricist and librettist of the musical theater. His shows have reached an audience of almost 30 million people in many countries. The worldwide box office gross of his works has passed the 1.5 billion mark. As a lyricist he has created more than 200 chart songs, among them two US number one hits. He also wrote books and conceived the scripts for numerous successful television programs.

For thirty years he has been designing and realizing stage musicals as a story architect. His “DramaMusicals” are regarded the foundation of a new genre of the contemporary popular musical theatre. To date, they have been performed in 16 countries and translated into 13 languages.
